Go to Home > Programming > 2552 > All Prog > PLU > External Product Groups > Import Product Groups.

Choose options to import the products for the keyboard, Departments & PLU Group for the PocketTouch.

Scroll down to Import product groups, Ok? Then hit enter.

Choose yes to override existing groups.

Confirm the upload by pressing OK.

Go To Home > Programming > 2552 > All prog > System Configuration > Scroll down and make a note of your tills IP address as you will need it for your Pocket Touch configuration

On the Pocket Touch press the “config” button along the bottom, and then the “config” button on the right-hand side.

The default password is “2552”

Enter the “System Config” menu.

Enter a friendly name into the “Device Name” field.

Enter the IP address of the Check Master terminal into the “Check Master” field.

The default “Close Down Password” is “2552”, this can be changed.

Demo Mode, no comms should be set to “no” in order to communicate with the Check Master.

The default “Config Menu Password” is “2552”, this can be changed.

Click OK.

On the main screen, now press “Sync Till” on the right in the “Config” menu. This will synchronise the products and table layout to the Pocket Touch.

What To Watch Out For

Wi-Fi connectivity can have an impact on whether you can sync with the till or send/open tables.

Full Wi-Fi strength does not always mean good quality. Your handheld can be next to your wireless access point, and interference can still stop effective communication.

Interference can be in the form of:

  • Strong signal from neighbouring access points on the same channel, try changing the channel on your access point.
  • Devices creating 2.4GHz or 5GHz signals, such as microwave ovens and TV senders.
  • Objects in the room, walls, people.

If you are having Wi-Fi issues, try using the 5GHz setting on your router.

The Socket Password needs to be the same as the till, and it is case sensitive.

The Wi-Fi network needs to be able to communicate to the wired network, usually this will need to be the same subnet.

Make sure that the product groups have been imported when PLUs are added or changed.
